Functional window treatments serve the purpose of privacy, light-blockage, temperature, privacy and style. Full coverage with window treatments helps you feel safe and sound in your home. In several cases, light-filtering or room darkening window treatments help reduce brightness and glare. This is typically achieved by using a room darkening liner on either an outside mount drapery or roman shade. For drafty windows, often in older homes, thermal lining can be applied to help keep heat stay inside when you need it the most.
